PROCESS ENGINEER:
Pinetown 

We are looking for a Printing Process Engineer who will be based in our Converting Factory in Pinetown. The role will report into the Production Manager also based in Pinetown.
 
Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the equipment efficiency or process / production line
Monitor the result of process key performance indicators (KPIs)
Take prompt action to solve process problems to ensure safety, product quality, machine efficiency etc.
Coordinate among different working processes of the whole production line
Working site management and be responsible for safety 
WCM Activities in the Factory, support pillar progress and participate WCM pillar activity
 
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
At least 4-5 years’ experience at production area
Strong background in WCM analysis and tools
Analytical and expert in Process Parameters measurement and improvement techniques

Quality Engineer
Pinetown / KZN

Based  at the Converting Factory
 
The Quality Engineer key objectives will be the elimination of claims and reduction of waste by establishing optimal process conditions, seeking to reduce losses in the converting process, with a consequent reduction in converting costs, as well as reduction of the total number of complaints / claims and increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of our products through the use of World Class Manufacturing  (WCM). Provide support, coach and guidance to task groups responsible for the reduction of losses and improving the quality of our products through the use of quality tools (FMEA, Ishikawa, Cause Effect, PM Analysis, 5 Why)
To control quality and ensure compliance of both raw materials and finished products, packaging material meeting global and internationally accepted standards and specifications.
  
Responsibilities:
Overall process management
Implement process kaizen improvements in all stages of the process
Ensure mandatory standards are in place, and best practice is in place
Implement the optimal process conditions through the process control
Perform daily analysis of performance losses and rework in the converting process
Develop and put in place process parameters and ensure they are trained and used
Establish process Q-Points and ensure they are trained and used
Ensure packaging material spec is in place, updated and complied with
Develop SPC system and ensure staff use the system accordingly
Overall supplier management
Overall customer management
Overall claims management
Total Barriers management
Quality Maintenance Pillar
Participate in activities by analysis of risks related to Health and Work Safety
Perform other related tasks and / or forming part of the quality process, always necessary
Visit suppliers for assessing complaints

Requirements:
BSc Degree (Mechanical Eng, Chemical Eng, Electrical Eng or Industrial Eng) or equivalent tertiary qualifications
At least 3 years Quality Assurance experience in an FMCG environment, including experience of working within a quality-driven and WCM / TPM driven environment
Knowledge and experience of printing, laminating or filling machine will be an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP R/3 would be an advantage
Good manufacturing practice
High degree of accuracy in collating, checking and analysing data and information
