A leading innovator in agricultural and renewable energy technology is looking for a dynamic and seasoned individual that will lead in the development of new business opportunities in Eastern and Southern Africa.


Their customers are innovative, growing food companies in Africa and Latin America. The Head of Business Development will work with a high-performing commercial and operational team in East and Southern Africa to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

Requirements:
Must have 5+ years’ experience in agriculture, technology or business and finance
B.Com. or equivalent degree is essential, a Master’s level in a relevant subject is desirable
An agricultural or technology background is desirable
Experienced in public speaking
Good English language and fluency in local languages is essential
Well versed with use of CRM Software

 

Responsibilities:
Lead the identification of new business development opportunities with small and growing agribusiness across the region
Identify key growth sectors and commodities in which to invest renewable energy and agribusiness technology and infrastructure
Build a pipeline of asset finance clientele seeking to grow their businesses
Work with the local commercial operations team to successfully implement and deliver technology to customers with a high level of satisfaction
Manage CRM data input

 

The job is offered on a 2-year basis with possibility of extension

Remuneration and benefits depend on the individual profile
