Duties and responsibilities:
Plan and schedule vehicles and resources based on transport demand, daily and weekly

Manage volume variances on daily routes
Recon volumes delivered to and received at factories and other customers
Ensure that Logistic administration is done correctly – load and trip sheet capturing on ERPLX
Engage with customers and suppliers on a professional level
Ensure that turnaround times are strictly adhered to
Contribute to logistic budgets on request
Supply information for monthly reports
Conduct and assist with vehicle and tanker inspections

Requirements:
Grade 12
National Diploma Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous
At least 3 years’ experience in a Storeman position within the SMMP industry

  • Receives purchase orders and files in accordance with WI
  • Receives delivery note from supplier and draws purchase order
  • Checks purchase order against delivery document
  • Informs relevant Dept. if required in accordance with WI
  • Receives goods in accordance with WI
  • Submits documentation to IT Dept. in accordance with WI
  • Stores stock items in correct bin in accordance with stores system/WI
  • Contacts requisitioned to collect non-stock items
  • Organises / coordinates people and prioritises / allocates / communicates tasks to achieve required output targets
  • Ensures subordinates understand the performance standards or outcomes required
  • Trains / ensures that subordinates are trained to perform their tasks to the required standard

  • Receives authorised request to move assets from premises
  • Generates gate release document for assets leaving the premises
  • Obtains the bearer signature on the release document
  • Signs and stamps the release document
  • Submit gate release copies to- security- bearer (x2)
  • Receives back from bearer a copy of the release document for returnable assets
  • File the returned copy of release document back to the book
  • File on a weekly basis - purchase order- purchase requisitions together with quotation the appropriate files
  • Move files from main filing room to archives quarterly
  • SHE Health, safety, environment and housekeeping
  • Performs work in accordance with relevant SHE working procedures / work instructions
  • Reports any SHE conditions or work practices that are dangerous or could lead to pollution immediately as per the SHE system
  • Reports any SHE incident / accidents immediately as per the SHE system
  • Uses the PPE required for the specific task or working condition
  • Performs tasks assigned to the SHE system
  • Keep workplace clean
